So many alt people in Peterborough! 16/02/2022

Not much happened during the train journey, but me and Grace took a selfie on her phone ^^ Grace and I are the more "fashion-forward" than the rest of the group, but that's mainly because both of us are bothered about our appearances and want to put the effort in lol Not to say the rest don't have style, no. Cost comes into things as well as effort, Robin would probably dress more punk/ wiccan, Soraya steampunk/ kidcore and Ali ouji (masc counterpart to lolita)/ olive garden/ grunge-ish, to say the least about their varying aesthetics! I love the dynamics of our group!! Grace said me and her looked like Bubblegum and Marceline XD aesthetic wise!!

When we got to Peterborough, we headed straight to Greggs, but on the way we saw a mushroom hoodie in H&M, to which all of us obsessed over because FUCK YEAH! MUSHROOMS!! We went to Greggs because I wanted a drink and one of us wanted a snack. None of us had eaten much for breakfast or even had breakfast at all, the day before, I completely missed a meal and I had barely eaten any breakfast, to which all of my friends yelled at me for because I said that my belt wasn't fitting very well, even on the smallest hole, some of my clothes as well... yeah idk. 

Anyway, we got our Greggs and went to Tiger, but as Ali was paying for their stuff, they realised their card was gone, so we retraced our steps and went to the help desk, which luckily wasn't at the other end of Queensgate. We got Ali's card, they paid for their things and then we headed to Primark. In Primark, I got a plain black "men's" V neck (which was also kinda tight fitting, and whenever I wear it, it reminds me of young Danny Worsnop in the Final Episode music video XD), a long, plain black "women's" V neck (which I plan to crop and cut up to give it a more distressed look) and a blue and black flannel :D Soraya got, what we thought was, a hoodie, turns out it was this weird top with a FAKE HOOD?! Yeah, apparently that's a thing wtf, it was like laced at the front and striped but the hood was this weird piece of fabric that looked like a hood?! Scam! Soraya also got a pair of jeans but they were too tight round the waist, so now she has to go back to Queensgate to return some stuff :< Grace got some things, Robin got something and Ali bought a heck ton of stuff O_o 

We then whizzed down to Damaged Society after having a quick glance in River Island. When we got to Damaged Society, I handed in my CV and cover letter, and I felt so nervous but so proud after I'd handed it in, I haven't heard anything from them yet, but I'm still hoping. This was my first time applying for a job, I said "Hi! I got my CV and cover letter here", they said "Okay, what are you looking for?" and I said "I'm still in full-time education, so weekend work." and they said "Okay! We'll contact you!". I told them that that's made my day, and I felt so proud of myself in that moment. There was this really nice Santa Cruz hoodie in there, it had moon phases printed on the sleeves, and there was this other hella nice hoodie in there that I think may have been Hell Bunny, and it had ribbons laced on the sleeves and that was cute, but both hoodies were like £55 each so that was a no from me. The studded belts that I wanted were also really nice but they were all size medium or above :< We looked in the band merch section, and in the sale section they had an Asking Alexandria shirt!!! I've been meaning to get one for ages! I went full on feral as soon as I saw it lmfao, Robin even jumped out the way XD they also had a new Slipknot self-titled era t-shirt, or hoodie? I can't remember lol. 

Anyway, I got my AA shirt, the twins from The Shinning patch, a genderqueer, aromantic and asexual badge! Soraya got a cute pair of dungarees (which were also unfortunately to tight around the ankles, idk if she gonna get them modified or return them, idk) and a demisexual and genderfluid badge ^^ I don't think Grace or Ali got anything, Robin got a patch and something else. We then had a look in Claire's, I was looking for a big flower crown, since rewatching the Prayer In C music video a few days prior, but unfortunately they didn't have any. Soraya got a squishmallow thing though. We then looked in Waterstones, and we found books on Wicca and folklore and such, I think we'll be checking the spirituality section more often now because all of us love this stuff! We had a look in The Works too, where I got a box to put my kandi bracelets in! I also got a 10p jar XD 

Soraya and I then headed to Subway whilst the others went to Mc Donalds. Soraya and I were out before the rest of the group, and we went and sat on the steps near the chapel and ate our food. By the time the rest of the group arrived, Soraya and I had already finished our sandwiches. I played Believer and Lips Like Morphine by Kill Hannah, which all my friends liked!! ^^ That made me happy. We then wandered down to Wilko, where we saw a beautiful goth person, they had dark makeup, long, straight black hair with short bangs, a dark coat with a buckle and ugh they looked beautiful! I think they even had winkle pickers too O_O Not to be gay but *screm* I am attracted to alternative people, okay? Lmao By attracted, I mean aesthetically, I know a nice pair of shoes when I see 'em! 

We then went to this little shop that me and my parents always used to walk past when I was younger, when we used to go to Yum Chai, the shop was still there and I got a cute pair of tights in there ^^ Grace seemed to like the shop and I think she might go back there :3 We then started to head back into Queensgate, on there way to TKMaxx, we passed Damaged Society, where we saw this punky looking person in the shop doorway with studded boots and a plaid skirt, I think they had a mullet too :O In TKMaxx, there was this person dressed as a giant Pikachu, and they had a window in the mouth and they looked kinda creepy, but they were collecting donations so I guess it was for a good cause lol. 

We then stood outside Greggs because someone wanted another drink, and as my and some of the group were waiting, a person with shoulder length hair and wearing a Black Sabbath shirt walked past with their friends, hecc!! More alt people, they looked kinda like me with my friends, the super alt one in a group of more toned down friends XD We then went into H&M but they didn't have anything in there that I wanted, but I nearly walked into a couple and one of them said (after apologising we apologised to each other) they liked my hair!! One of them had an MCR backpack, and the other had black snake bite piercings! More alts O_o And as we were walking out of H&M there was a trad goth behind us with blonde, teased hair and the trad goth makeup, I think they had platforms too, I only got to glance because we were all focused on getting the train back. 

Such an awesome day! I handed in my CV to Damaged Society, I got an AA shirt, we listened to Kill Hannah and we saw a bunch of alternative people! :D As Robin and I were walking home, I said to him I was still thinking about all the alternative people we saw, and he said "Maybe they're thinking about you" and I full on stopped in my tracks, its been years since that thought has ever crossed my mind! What if they are thinking about me? WhAt. That's so foreign to me, what the hecc, I know people might notice me but actually go away from me and think of me???? To me that's such a crazy concept! Holy spooks! But all in all, we had a good time <3
