''powapowa has struggled with severe depression and social pressure throughout his whole life, and most if not all of his songs depict that. he used music to try to convey his feelings towards society, himself and most of all: his future. one of the things he used to talk about the most was how much he wanted to be a child forever. how scared he was of adulthood and losing his innocent view of a world so rotten.

mizoguchi ryou, known as powapowa-p, has passed away in 2015 due to assumed suicide. the cause of death was not disclosed, but many (including his friends at the time) believe he took his own life. if that were to be true, we can assume ryou feared his own future so much he would rather die than eventually live through it.

it's good that more people are being captivated by this song, i'm sure ryou would've loved the love his work is receiving. just please be mindful that we're talking about the art of a troubled soul who is no longer here. please, have respect for his legacy.
