Just some vgames if your bored like me

Ive been getting back into video games recently… Ive always played em but now i’m rediscovering em and just looking for fun casual games… here are a couple of my favorites ive heard less chatter about!

Atomicrops is a rougelike farming sim hybrid. Its the ultimate time-management game that uses 100% of your brain. You have to both cultivate and defend your farm while fighting off hoards of bullet hell enemies and exploring areas during the day for seeds and upgrades. Its a top-down bullet hell shoot-em-up, and if your a fan of Enter the Gungeon you might like this too! It can get intense sometimes, but i really enjoy the challenge and payoff of this game. Something about the theming and sound design and just general charm makes it a real treat. For casual players, Id suggest taking it slow at first. Get used to the mechanics (id suggest playing on controller, i ususally do), and just take your time. It can be stressful, but personally I like how theres constantly something to do at all times!

Nuclear Throne is similar to the last title: its a rougelike top-down shoot-em-up where you defeat levels of wasteland mutants and bandits in pursuit of claiming a mysterious Throne and crowning yourself nuclear king. Its just a fast paced challenging bullet hell thats held up really well over the years. The graphics are cartoony but have a distinct charm, and as you play you unlock characters with unique abilities and playstyles. The theming of adapting to a nuclear post-apocolyptic wasteland is complimented by game mechanics. Little green pellets called Rads are dropped by enemies on death, and collecting enough lets you level up between stages. Each level you get a choice from 4 mutations which essentially upgrade your character by granting you an aditional passive skill. Enjoy melee weapons? Grab some Longer Arms! Constantly swarmed by smaller enemies? Gamma Guts keeps you safe! Runs are fast paced and thrilling, and its an addicting and great casual game for people who like a challenge.

Little bit of a change of pace from the last two for my final one: the Little Nightmares series. If your a fan of the horror/thriller genre in movies and games, i cannot reccomend these games enough. Personal opinion: jumpscares are overrated. Lots of games opt for the suprise-fear than building a tense atmosphere for the sake of it, and personally i dont find that fun. Little Nightmares breaks this mold! its a puzzle solving platformer where you play a tiny child in a giant world of monsters and twisted scenery. The environment does all the talking: theres no words or text, the story unravels by show not tell. Scary parts of the game are creepy and tense, and rely on the atmosphere and monster designs. Holy shit, are these monster designs a treat. Spooky shit that makes you shiver a little while you play. Even if your not a platforming fan like myself, you can still become enthralled by the beautifully haunting world and story of this game. Amazing game, pick it up if you like.

So yeah, those are a couple games i feel like gushing about. Might do this more regularly, it was pretty fun!

The first one just sounds like agricultural Factorio.

The second, I've played way too much.
