Listia for Books

In the last blog, I talked about PaperBackSwap, a website to swap books.

There's another similar site called Listia, where you can sell books or anything else for "points", and then use those points to bid on other things on Listia.

The two sites are similar in that the seller will generally pay for the shipping. Unlike PBS, Listia doesn't make "free shipping" mandatory, but the market effectively behaves like that, because few people will pay for shipping.

The marketplace is pretty good, and it's because of this up-front payment for shipping, which  locks sellers into buying from the site in the future.

For more information, check out my post on this blog, declutter69. Decluttering by "selling" stuff on Listia.
