i have alters who front for specific things (cleaning, accounting) !

i have alters who are always happy !

i have "mean" alters ! sooooo quirky!

i can be any character from media i want ! sooo cool, it's like shifting but better!

i have alters who front for specific things (depression, SA, eating); because it's so overwhelming i am unable to do it on my own and needed someone to do it for me.

i have alters who are always happy; because my environment did not allow me to express my emotions freely i forgot them so i need someone who reminds me what happiness is like.

i have "mean" alters; because i was not allowed to fight back against my abusers in any way they now lash at anyone in attempt to let out all the steam that's been building up.

i can be any character from media i want; i did not choose them and they genuinely wish they weren't here in the first place.

we have feral dogs alters because that's how worthless we felt, how unloved, undesired. we have them because to our brain, the only logical explanation to being treated that way was that we were actual feral dogs. because you wouldn't treat your child like you treat feral dogs, right?

we have a sexual alter who was born out of the sheer disbelief that something like what happened happened to a kid who didn't understand what sex was. because sexual stuff don't happen to kids, they happen to their "cool" 20ish older sister.

and we have many more who are just showcases of how we try to manage how broken we are, how even "mild" stress can cause us so much distress that our brain can only cope by making it a new alter's problem.

all you see are ducks smoothly swimming, but under the water there is more struggling than you can imagine.
