briefly:
i posted outfits on instagram.
i posted a flyer for my bday piano recital on the 20th.
my metal band played their first venue show in long beach. it was sick.
burnout
broke up with girlfren
unbearable remorse. i had the choice to move on... or...
i got back with girlfren.
things are okay now.. quite stable. i think i'm quite in love with her, i just had to.. lose her for a day to find out what i took for granted.
we're doing pretty well, i think!
hitting the productivity grind again. applying to jobs, etc.
now i'm at a coffee shop called grim garden.
they're a small music venue, coffee shop, and plant shop combined. kind of my dream - to own a coffee shop that's also a study center and music venue. their atmosphere is awesome, their workers and products promote the concept of "alternative" - again, my dream coffee place.
if you didn't know, i've recently decided that one of my life goals is to start a coffee shop. i want it to be stupidly cheap, so cheap, that i barely profit - i just make enough to keep it going. that way, the younger generation is extremely attracted to it. high quality, everything made in-house, and centered on the sense of community and embracing the alternative. but somehow, stupidly cheap. talking 3.50 for everything.
publicized revenue analysis. prices change in real time, but customers can see why depending on the cost of ingredients and such.
i want there to be an arcade machine in the corner with elden ring and roblox and shit on it. when you get a high score or beat a boss, you get a discount until that score is beat.
and plenty of tables to sit and study. and really good internet. good for students.
all decorations made by independent artists. the whole place an art exhibit that cycles out, and pays artists for their art.
and then. past 8. it's a bar. all the coffee's there, but with hard coffees and sweet cocktails.
and a music venue. i want profits to go to funding local bands and visual artists and slam poetry and all the awesome shit that people my age come up with.
jazz trios during the day. band kids can come sit in. at night, metal fusion. 80s punk. 70s prog / psychedelic rock. weird synth or instrumental or noise shit. whatever it is, you have to be.. intentional. adhere to my standard of artistry.
so when i got to grim garden, my partner said i manifested it lol. buuut the truth is, the idea was already executed, though not exactly to my standard.
i think i can one up this place. more tables, better study environment, more hours, and more music. and put the whole place in a spot where young people are going, like near a high school.
anywho.
i asked if they were hiring. they said yes, but they only want "3rd generation baristas." man.. i don't have that experience.
look, i want to make a contribution to the diversity of the cultural and economic spheres of this community. i want to make a place stupidly cheap, so cheap, that big places have to lower their prices. i want to make alternative the coolest thing ever, but in an intellectual way. you can't just follow trends. you have to prove yourself as an artist.
i think it starts with a center for attendance, wellbeing, and dialogue - a coffee shop and music venue. with some liquor.
anyhow. gonna try to apply to this place on instagram lol. get my resume ready and some opening paragraphs about myself.
wish me luck!
regards,
francis soundworks

hey fran. what a long time. I hope you achieve all of your goals and push through the hardships and the tribulations that you get... i've notoriously... left spacehey now, as such that i only stumbled with your relived blogging because i entered into the site by pure accident
but life is hard and you always keep moving. you always have something under your arm as a trick to show or many projects to do. Cool, girl!
i guess its a little far since we stopped talking, and the image i used to have of you now vanished and the attachment of the image i once had now died. Its cool, because it's great to see a new, genuine you who is really rocking it all and having great self expression.
So life is difficult. I believe it is difficult. But be it for relationships, work, exposure, fashion, stores, anything that be... work or anything related in the hardships, if you try hard enough, you'll always find a crack in it, like my mom always said, the only thing that doesn't have solution in this life is death.
well if you try enough in a intense and clever way... life is so tough so we all don't know and find hardships right here!

haha, much much like like a swift breeze of air, harumin.. then i am but a passing cloud. i've always loved your little analogies and figures of speech... they're sometimes silly but in a creative way, more well-spoken than most people i know here in the US.
thank you for your words, as always. they have only ever done me good.
i know we aren't friends like we used to be,
but i'm perpetually grateful to have met you.
i hope your exams went well. best of wishes.
if you find this, know that you can always reach out to me on instagram, though i know i'm quite poor at responding.
i'll likely be moving off of this platform. i may start blogging on neocities. here it is: https://francis-soundworks.neocities.org/
