I just started working at Goodwill, specifically in the back, and my job is to sort through all the donations we receive and make sure nothing stained/ripped/distasteful/etc. gets put out onto the floors. Now why does it suck if you love thrifting? BECAUSE IF YOU FIND SOMETHING YOU LIKE, AND WANT TO BUY IT THE SAME DAY, YOU CAN'T! You aren't allowed to shop at the same Goodwill you work at on the days you're working. Before clocking in or clocking out, if you work that day you can't buy from the Goodwill you work for PERIOD. You have to wait until its your day off in order to buy from your own Goodwill TwT And you just have to hope the thing you wanted wasn't already sold! AGHHHHH!!!!
Anyone else work at Goodwill? Do let me know lolz

Mciovin!
oh bruhhh this post shocked me , I always figured thrift store workers had hella luck bc they got discounts n like first dibs. NAHH good to know lmfao i think i’d cry if i saw a holy grail piece n i couldn’t have it
It might depend on the store, but yeah in general for people who work at Goodwill, you aren't allowed at all to buy from your store on the days you work. It especially sucks if you work in my department (I handle clothes) Because I see so many gorgeous clothes and I have to just hang n tag em. It's also risky to steal because there's cameras EVERYWHERE TwT It sucks soooo bad!
