rant / confession of sorts tw sh

i used to cut when i was a teen and used to do other forms of self harm.

for however long ive seen many just disregard other forms of self harm

like even mild cutting gets disregarded at times like it just has to leave bold scars to even be counted as self harm and that frustrates me to no end 

as if you have to harm yourself just to show off to some imaginary crowd for approval?

if someones self haming they need compassion and love not faceless randos telling them "but you havent cut deep enough to leave a scar so thats def not self harm and youre just a pathetic attention seeker"

like who does that even help? their damn fragile ego?

im just so sick and tired of this

(i know i focused mainly on cutting but other forms of selfharm is still self harm)
