I went to the warehouse of an auction company to pick up three boxes of 78 RPM records! There are probably over 100 records in total (though one of them is a typical vinyl record that somehow made its way into the group.)
The bad news is, two of the records broke, a few seem to be duplicates, and there's probably mold on some of the old sleeves and record albums :')
Also, a lot of the records themselves are FILTHY. I have to look up how to clean them (and sanitize the labels without ruining them). There's also a very interesting record in there. It's a picture disk! My dad looked it up, and they have a metal center disk, paper with artwork, and then a layer of clear vinyl with the grooves. Very interesting :D
After we picked those up, we went to a French-inspired Japanese bakery. I got an iced matcha (unsweetened; tasted like green tea, but fresher), a piece of baked cheesecake (had a less dense texture as well as a cake layer as the base instead of gram cracker crust), a slice of matcha roll cake (yummyyyy, it also had some red bean paste in it), and a sakura melon bread (which isn't melon flavored, just shaped) that I haven't eaten yet because I gave myself a borderline stomach ache lol. My dad got an apricot danish (which he seemed to like), a chocolate cornett (for whoever may want it), and a red bean paste bun (which he really liked!) We also picked up a slice of chocolate cake for my mom. Hopefully she likes it.
So, overall, had a nice day today :D
