today, march 1st 2026, is the day my account is officially 1 year old on spacehey.
woah. i didn't know i was here for so long. i got into spacehey because my irls created an account here and i kinda wanted to get in the hype. i liked the vibe of the platform and how different it was compared to regular social media.
i've made a few friends here, even adding them on discord and growing closer to them,,, it's incredible how creating a spacehey account quite changed my life as i have some genuine friendships i consider a lot. opening up spacehey became part of my routine and although i still kinda suffer from modern social media doomscrolling, i always love getting here, noticing the notifications and giving a quick checkup every now and then.
although this platform has it's problems (few mods, spam, gore accounts), i still care a lot about the initiative of spacehey as a platform. also gotta thank all of my friendlings that i met through here <3
for more years of spacehey!!!

terrifying to think about how fast everything is going honestly but im not gonna complain.
this platform, though being indie and considered a fan project, is so sweet and probably one of the only social medias i actually properly use(d) in substitution of the other big ones lol (yes im still mad about that bday present they gave me n other aussies on here DSHFJDSHJK out of all days they could have done it aHFHSFKJ) and genuinely, i dont regret a thing :]
obviously the platform has its flaws as you've stated but a lot of its community and userbase are very cool n nice n welcoming :D the creativity with ppls profiles n stuff is so awesome to see.
honestly im with a lot of the stuff you've said in this. the friends i've made here are such cool ppl :D funny enough, i think you're the one friend that i talk to the most here, but i cant be mad about that at all. im so glad i managed to find n connect with u and the little group you've gathered on here :] its so nice to see. idk what to say about it but i rlly like it.
very sad that i've been coming here much less frequently due to spacehey being blocked in australia (it wasnt even on the banned platforms list ??? so why tf ????) but i dont regret joining in on this in the first place >:3 even if i dont come here much anymore, spacehey and the people i've interacted with here will always have special places with me.
