Thoughts on Neon Genesis Evangelion

After my initial post (see Started watching Neon Genesis Evangelion!) Since I'm coming close to completing the series, I gotta say that I love it! As absolutely fucked that some of it can be, overall it's great. The differences between the original series and the rebuild are interesting, and give an much needed update to the animation of the fights in the original series, bringing stronger drama to the scenes. (in my personal opinion) there's also a bunch of other thoughts I have about the series as a whole that I can't exactly find the words for as of now, but if I find a way to verbalize it I will add them to this post later.
