Hi, my name is Kiko!
For a while, I was basically considered the "how to" user of SpaceHey, given that all of my most popular blogs was of that genre. It felt really nice that 1) my blogs were getting attention and 2) i was providing something for other people. I have no issues making these kinds of posts. Hell, I made TikTok tutorials in the past.
But ever since people have been speaking up about the moderation issue on SpaceHey (If you want to learn more check out Zigzag Buster's blog, Dana Skully's blog, jovi's blog, and The Duality Zone's blog for more information about the situation. I'm not going to beat a dead horse and also hop on that train. I'm very loud about it on discord and bulletins.) people have been suggesting that active bloggers like me should archive our blogs in case anything ever happens to the site, which will probably happen. I took this advice and went to go archive my posts until I noticed, none of these posts were worth archiving.
I mean, be honest, what could I possibly do with archiving blogs specifically targeted to other SpaceHey users when the site would be rhetorically gone? They don't identify who I am, or how I've grown these past few months. They don't display my interests, my hobbies, my stresses, my hurdles.
It cant even be justified with my emotional and unstable bulletins because eventually those disappear! So, what, now my legacy will just my embarrassing attempt to be an influencer on a MySpace dupe? Jeez, be serious.
All I'm trying to say is I wish I didn't have to feel the need to provide someone advice, or instruction all the time. I don't always have to be a guide but yet I take that role wholeheartedly and I don't leave room for myself to be guided or even free of unnecessary responsibility. That may seem like an over-exaggeration on my part, it's just SpaceHey tutorials. But, I have the same tendencies in my personal life as well and I have no clue why I think this way.
Short blog, but this is basically a PSA that I will not be posting how to's anymore, and writing blogs that are interesting to me personally. For example, my next blog will either be the second "Screw School, Lets Learn for Fun" post + Personal curriculum schedule or it will be about something I feel passionate about in the moment.
I hope you understand that they probably will take weeks to pump out, I've been swamped with work this semester. Thank you for your patience, though! I hope people actually care about my blogs that aren't how to's.
⏤Sincerely yours,
Kiko.

Hell yeah, Kiko!
I was a bit sad at the beginning that you felt that way about your blogs, but I get it. I know from your bulletins how much you try to be of help to others, and go be their guide, while you forget about yourself in the process. You're right! You don't have to give any advice or help others to feel like you are worth to be heard. We will most definitely still enjoy your blogs, but most importantly, I hope you write things you are happy with and proud of.

I do hope Spacehey doesn't shutdown out of nowhere or we'll get a warning before that happens. I do hope that moderation will improve soon. Anyways, I don't think you should force yourself to be that person. It could suck the fun out of writing blogs :( I would achieve them or screenshot them just for memories.
One can only hope :,) it isn't looking good now

well, i'd still say archiving how to posts is still valuable because that's history, right? like stuff gets lost to time but imagine a decade or so from now a kid coming across this myspace dupe but always wondering what the culture was actually like...the how tos provide cultural context of both the expectation of behavior and the type of behavior "outcasts" perform. i mean from an anthropology perspective your how tos are super interesting!
but, it's also cool that you want to write more about stuff that defines your identity. i like reading blogs in general because they're such a cool way to learn about a person, what they like, how they write, what they dislike, how they approach problems or ideas...
You're so right. I do think I might end up cringing at it though lol!

yeah i understand how you feel, i was the kind of person that would read (instead of write) "how to"s for everything but i've stopped because i would feel anxious about doing things right so at the end of the day nothing would be enjoyable for me. sometimes it's better to ignore the rules and have fun and just say what's on your mind and talk about your interests.

"Screw School, Lets Learn for Fun" is so funny because i've written a similar blog about exams but i haven't posted it yet
