AMD CES Product Premiere, the TL;DW as presented by /g/

Watch the premiere here
Zen3+ and Zen4
new CPUs come with integrated Microsoft ""security"" processors called Pluton
6000 series Ryzens increase efficiency by among other ways periodically going into a new set of deep sleep states and adaptive power management
Ray tracing in APUs
New raytracing cards with too few outputs (judging based on images provided), /g/ is very conflicted on this one, I frankly didn't care, it's gonna become overpriced the second it drops (19th o' Jan) anyway
AMD advantage aptops with anime matrix displays and ultra low profile cherry keyboards. Funny display aside Why would you ever go with ultra low cherry switches?? They suck.
Top of the line AM4 socket CPU achieved by 3D cahe chiplets - Ryzen 5800X3D.
Desktop CPUs on AM5 socket. If you like PGA I have bad news. The IHS looks like it's ready for the era of cyberpunk.
Find a most likely better coverage here and here
also as a fun fact: two sets of Quads dropped in the thread >>85059999 and >>85060000 (don't expect the links to work for too long)
Also here is one on Nvidia's presentation and here is one on intel.

Yea I guess. The wild thing about it is that they were still the most interesting of the big 3.
Far as bad things go - I'll miss PGA. Pluton is definitely a big problem but also wouldn't be the first major vulnerability but not the first not last not the only one. Really the worst parta bout it is that it's comming straight from Microsoft. The rest is all meh.

Well, prob the only way is to not buy new hardware then.

well the 5800x3d is supposedly clean meaning the AM4 platform should be pretty good for a while if you want to aim high, and since I'm running 3700x and am in need of a mobo replacement I'd probably rather keep investing in it for a while anyway, and I feel like I'm not the only one
well that and again I like PGA a lot
