little rant because

so i live in like a really populated place, and the other day i was out and just walking around, im working at this small business type thing that is pretty popular in my state and i was on my way back from work. it was like 7 pm and there were like 30 people on each street also walking i stopped at this gas station and picked up a few things, iced tea, some snacks. when i was checking out there was a lady who walked in and i recognized her as a customer from earlier. i didnt think it really mattered but as i was walking out she stopped me and was started talking to me. i was being polite, but i just wanted to leave. i let her vent for like 10 minutes before i apologized and said i needed to leave. she got quiet and said okay then left. i thought about it for a bit but mostly forgot about it. yesterday, i came in and my manager pulled me aside during my break. she told me a customer had complained about me and i recognized her as the person from the gas station. i told my manager about it and she believed me but told me to be more polite if it ever happened again. i agree, obviously, i like my job its fun but also like bro i was being polite ANYWAYS!!! i really like this job its new and i get to help make things. i had a very eye opening conversation with someone the other day and we related on a level i havent related with anyone else and it got personal we talked about gender and how we both feel like it none of it fits. like the whole concept doesnt fit. like weve both gone agender and that was the closest weve gotten to feeling okay with gender
