ENG / #4 Witch Hunter Concept and Final Design

The next character would be the fourth romanceable character. For me she would be the fifth, but according to how i have them ordered in my files, she is the fourth. She is one of the first humans, and she would also be a witch hunter. I imagined her personality as someone serious, mysterious, and a bit emo...

I wanted her to have her hair loose or braided, and for her weapon to be a bow or something long-range. In general, i wanted her to end up developing a slightly possessive personality with the protagonist. There isn’t much to say about the very first idea i had for her besides the fact that she was a witch hunter

In her first design, i left her with loose black hair, and i also changed her weapon to a crossbow. I added a wound on her cheek for some vague lore i had imagined at the time.

As for her clothes, there isn’t much to say. Nowadays i see it as a very bad choice considering she’s a hunter, but well— i gave her a cape so she could blend into the darkness, and at the clasp i added a flower that symbolized the hunter order she belongs to: a moon flower called datura 😼

 Her main colors would be black and purple, because i was running out of color ideas. I wanted her neck to be slender, and honestly i didn’t think much about her physique back then.

In the first redesign, her physical appearance changed. Now she had a large burn scar on her face instead of just a small scratch. She also used her hair to cover it and had a drooping ahoge! I loved adding that facial scar—she just looks really cute to me, and it makes the design much more interestiiing

As for her outfit, it stayed mostly the same, still with the cape and the datura symbol, but she no longer had as many layers underneath and only wore one black sleeve.

I gave her the name “Sualia” i don’t remember why, i wasnt compltely satisfied with it, but in the end i left it that way.

Later, i completely redesigned her clothes. She still kept her cape—it looks great on her, you can’t deny it. As for the clothes underneath, now it was just a sleeveless black shirt, a belt, and shorts so she could move more freely. I also added these gloves; i had the idea that her crossbow would be integrated into the gloves, but my drawing skills dont reach that level yet, okay? I also thought about her binding her chest with bandages. She kept the flower, which now symbolized the witch hunters belonging to her family!

Then i changed her name to “Silene”, because of the meaning i found, and i also gave her the last name “Nyctarion”

Then, like the others, i recently gave her the redesign of her life 😼

Now her burn is on the other side, i gave her braided hair like one of the original ideas i had for her, completely changed her clothes, and overall she now looks more depressed and tired. I also rewrote her story to deepen the character even more. Since she was one of the designs i liked the most, i gave her a life ten times worse—

And that’s it. I really like the redesign! I just want to get closer and give her a big hug, because she really needs it. A lot. Even if she doesnt say it, since she’s not very good at socializing...

Ah, and her main weapon is still the crossbow, although due to her training she is required to use close-range weapons more often if she truly wants to kill witches!
