The third romanceable character i created was designed with green as her signature color. I wanted her to have a princess-like appearance to look elegant and beautiful. I also wanted her to have wavy hair, something close to a hime-style look. She went through three different designs:
I wanted to give her that spoiled, bossy young-lady vibe, the kind of character who sees herself as superior to everyone around her! I find characters like that attractive, okay? I also gave her a mole on her neck. In the end, i chose the very first design.
Her role would be the president of the student council, so i wanted something that looked elegant and had a cape-like element. The first outfit was a combination of clothes i had found, the second was similar but with a skirt, and the third was meant to resemble Liren’s outfit. Out of the three options, i chose the first one. I also added a hat with a pin to identify her as part of the student council
As i mentioned, i chose the first outfit and added gloves to represent that she’s a witch with high magical capacity. I didnt overthink her name too much... I remember she originally had a different one, but later i changed it to “Evenlyne.” Her story and personality were already written by then, she belongs to one of the founding families of the Refuge, which i gave the surname “Emelith,” since it sounds similar to the word emerald! Since the color green represents the family
The colors i chose were green for her hair and red for her eyes- a lovely combination in my opinion. I also kept her mole on her neck! I wanted her face shape to look somewhat “perfect,” and i gave her big ears, unlike Clariette, who has long ears
In the drawings i made around that time, i didnt change much about her. She kept her green hair and red eyes, with the mole in the same place- except that, depending on my mood, the bows in her hair were either light blue or pink.
She and Liren were the characters who changed the least over time. Most changes came from shifts in my art style rather than their actual designs—until i recently redesigned all of them. Her redesign, in particular, ended up being my favorite!!
I think she was one of the characters—along with one more—who changed the most in terms of appearance. I let her hair down so it reaches her waist, keeping only a small bun with a bow. I also changed her outfit: she still wears the same cape, but instead of shorts she now wears a skirt, and her shoes have more platform so Evenlyne looks taller, hehe 😸
Oh, and i added earrings.
Now i feel like she looks much more elegant and beautiful— exactly how she wants to appear on the outside, in order to hide her true personality!
