YULE / Winter Solstice

Happy winter time and blessed be to my witches out there reading this!! I have been lacking on my blogs and activity which I will not go into why as this is an anonymous page still. Just keep me in your prayers is all I ask friends. 

Anyway lets move onto the holiday coming up and what you can do to celebrate and enjoy the holidays!! The winter solstice is the 21st and the longest night of the year which marks the rebirth of the sun as well. Yule is often the whole cycle of that 21st/solstice to the 1st of the year! Often about 10 days I think.  The themes of yule is light and darkness along with rebirth and things like fire and light as well. 

Now onto things you can do over the time of yule! 

1. The night of the solstice have a fire! Bonfire or something, and write new year resolutions to burn. (Or have the fire any night really!) 

2. Decorate with pine and holly and mistletoe for life and persistence. Most Christmas decorations like the tree and such are yule related too!! 

3. The yule log is nice!! Get a log, melt candles to attach, add greenery you like or dried fruits, light the candles every night of yule. 

4. Yellow and gold and silver and white all are good for light and purity and renewing. White subs for anything too so it fits anyways. 

5. Have a feast with loved ones or gift giving for the time of family and connections. Or even a coven gathering depending on who you know!

6. Reflect on life and the year and if you have things like crops or a garden or family or pets, prey for their health and whatever else. 

7. Decorate or redo  your altar of course!! Theme it to the holidays! 

8. Make a simmer pot with intentions and use it to cleanse the house (You can also cleanse on the day of the solstice or on the new year day to bring in good energies in whatever way you cleanse smoke or simmer pots or bells whatever!)
