Not really, but I enjoy disillusioning myself into thinking I am. Similarly to how I blindly admired these politicians I thought were actually cultivating change, when in reality it's people like Martin Luther King, and people who create non for profit organizations, and people we don't exactly know the names of that make the real change within this busted up society. I and the politicians live to self promote. I like to think I do it in an ineffective way, making me overall less evil while campaigning.
Anyways, stepping off my ineffective soap box to show you my bad art. My sister gave me this reflective planner by this instagram artist she discovered in college and then later lent to me. Mari Andrew...she doesn't really make illustrations anymore because she's declared herself a real writer now I guess. So there isn't much reason to continue the non-mutual friendship, but like a child, I am enjoying these encouraging activities inside this little book of water color just the same.
Before:
For me personally, this was far too subtle to stare at for two years.
After:
It would be ideal if Mari Andrew, Terry Zwigoff, and Daniel Clowes could someday sign this planner. Although, I think all their responses would contain some variation of this question: "Why all the fucking rhinestones?"
Anyways, if you did not enjoy that half of this post, here's some end of the year content I've been enjoying. Especially the retribution these computer savvy individuals on Youtube have been giving to the Indian scammer across the way. Being as incredibly disengaged with the world as an elderly woman who lives alone, I too have lost money from computer scams... so it's been fun watching these guys get what they deserve.
Jim Browning is my favorite, because he says 'EXCUSE ME' in that level headed adult way David does when interacting with customer service via telephone. Plus he's Irish and good with computers...that's a hot mix for me. But I enjoy Scammer Payback too:
Jim Browning
Scammer Payback
(He plays this elderly woman named Vivian who hates men, and its' sort of the best.)
Anyway, if you're still bored, here's a song a like:
