If you think trauma is funny, don't interact with me.

I was told by someone that my parental loss was not trauma and it doesn't excuse why I don't have a car (let's just forget that not everyone even wants one).

Why it's trauma?

- It affected me significantly.

- I was an adult, but still a teenager, and studying (19). In my country I legally count as half-orphaned and am eligible for benefits.

- It was a car crash, not a death of natural causes.

- I was already mentally ill, and this caused a fear of cars in me.

- I watched my 13 years old sister lose a parent.

- This caused my mum to become a single mother of 3 randomly. While me and my brother are technically adults, we are still studying so she still plays a major role in our life.

So how about you stop telling traumatised people what is trauma and what isn't and stop mocking and laughing about it?

I'm so sorry that happened :( I was told that if sometimes people annoy me in public transit I should get a car even though I explained that even being in someone else's car makes me stressed out, and if I were to drive one my anxiety might actually cause an accident :( I'd rather be mildly annoyed than terrified.
