I need some genuine advice and please don't troll me I am bad at detecting troll from a real answer.
I am playing Undertale for the first time but I already know a little bit I want to get the true Pacifist (I hope it's written right) ending because I Love Toriel she is such a mom but idk how to do it I heard you need to befriend Sans and Papyrus I have befriended them was in Papurus house but didn't have a date with him but I know I can go back later do I need to watch out for anything else beside not killing to get the right ending?
Also for some reason I have LV 1 but I never killed anyone

hai!! theres a few things throughout the game to keep an eye out for if you want the true pacifist route :D there's a hangout with undyne at her house, and stuff to do for alphys, but its all said in the dialogue so just keep an eye out as you go!!
Do I really need a piece of snowman for the true ending and can I even get a pacifist ending in the first ever run (thank you btw)

first, no, you don't need to keep the snowman piece, but if you do there's a cute extra dialogue at the end. and second, technically yes, you have to go through the game without killing anyone and finish the end boss, but after it gives you the chance to go back to your last save, then backtrack to New Home and complete the new events that lead to true pacifist so you don't need to start an entire new run. I hope this makes sense :D

yes! lvl 1 is the default start, it doesn't mean you killed anyone :]
