He would sit on the floor of his house and watch people his age go by, playing and going out. He just wanted to feel that sensation, to know what it felt like to be outside and interact with people his own age, because he couldn't go out. At home, he had this idea that people his age were a bad influence on him, and everything he did was judged. He just kept wondering what he was doing wrong. From school to home, and then on Sundays at church, he would pretend to be something he wasn't. Inside church, everything was greeting and cordiality, but when he left, everything changed. Most of the time it was shouting and insults, and it only made him feel bad. He just wanted to be happy. He would sit in a corner of his house watching the clouds, and for a while, he felt free. He felt like he could turn into a bird and fly away. He thought that with the passage of time, everything would change, but it didn't. The family he had seen grow up slowly disappeared, and all he saw was a woman who was sad inside but smiled on the outside. She just wanted affection and to be valued as a woman. She cried alone. He was silent and said everything was fine when it wasn't, until one day he saw that woman who couldn't take it anymore, and she decided to leave. At first, he didn't know why she did it, but little by little he understood why she left that place called home, a place where there was no love, no affection. She just wanted a word of encouragement, an "I like you," or just an "I love you." He just wanted it all to be over. In a place where he claimed to be happy, there was only shouting, insults, and demands for why she left. Over time, he went looking for the woman who had left, and when he found her, she was crying and saying, "Finally, I have you in my arms. Stay, don't go." He knew how to forgive. He doesn't hate that man or that woman; he loves them very much. Even though the shouting is still there, he is finally happy in his own world. He visits that man now, despite the mistakes he made. He gives him a hug and says, "I love you." I know it's his way of showing love, or maybe it's just how he was raised, but the boy found peace in his heart, and with As time passed, he saw that woman happy and that man happy in their own way, but sometimes at night he missed that company, but he lost all of that because of his own foolishness.
He just wanted to be happy (el solo quería ser feliz)
