Poem #7 - Landscape of Abel, Cain and Myself

I descent from both Abel and Cain,
I am doomed by God and fate to fail,
To suffer and be beaten by hand which held me as I was born,
And partly it will be my fault as I have rotten character.

My father's side has the mark of sinner written on their face,
There is some anger deeply rooted in our hearts,
There is such sadness about which no one speaks,
And we laugh to the creator's face after sarcastic remark.

If Cain would get a chance to smoke and drink,
I believe he would look like my father,
Which faces me from the mirror as I try to search for my face,
As I do not have the chance to be a person of my own.

My mother's side have been killed,
There is a silence where they lived,
I don't know who these people could be,
There is something unsaid between her and me.

I am both Abel and Cain,
As I know which path I should choose to be good,
But I was foretold to be a sinner and I am lazy to reach sainthood,
So I let alcohol to wash my future away.
