The Woes of Working from Home

To make the context clear, my normal job is filming and posting/selling solo femdom porn videos (I will not be going into detail at all, so this won't be NSFW). So, the house being quiet when I film is kind of important, since I could very well get my account shut down if an unidentified voice appears. (All sites I work with require age verification for everyone, which is industry standard) And I really doubt dudes are looking to relax with some loud guy in the background and the sounds of dishes banging around.

The real problems I suppose come from my roommate. He doesn't know what I do, and likely never will considering how misogynistic and MAGA he is. But it seems like every time I get all set up and pumped to film some stuff, he immediately is loudly playing music, or some weird AI story thing, and talking to himself. It's not intentional, unfortunately he doesn't have a job so he is also home all day, and as this is his parents house, he does his part by doing dishes and other chores. But he never ever does them before I have to work!

I'm also an odd person in the fact that I HATE when my plans are messed with. The moment something interrupts my plans, i.e. filming for work, I get so frustrated and agitated I find it almost impossible to calm down and get back in the groove, so in the past there's been multiple times I've thrown a (small) tantrum and stopped working for the day. I've gotten a lot better to be fair!

I haven't come up with an ideal solution, for example I have been waiting the last hour to get back to work since he decided he needed to do the dishes and loudly talk to the weird AI story thing, which is also just always aggravating! I set alarms to check and see if he's done being loud, but there's been plenty of times I've ended up filming in the bathroom at 2 AM since I didn't have the quiet time during the day. The real, BIG solution is for me and my boyfriend to move out of here and into our own place, or move in with roommates who understand and are cool with what I do. What makes that even more important and hard is that I am currently the sole earner in my relationship, and my boyfriend has a few chronic health issues that require me to purchase medication regularly for him. He's been looking for and applying for jobs heavily the last few months but nothing has come through yet.

So, my income is our only way out of this child-sized bedroom (yes somehow we fit, although we did opt for a pull-out-couch in place of a bed that would take up 90% of the floor space), and my income is directly hampered by our living situation. 'Yay!' the blogger said sarcastically. But as always, I'll muscle through and get some work done, as soon as he's done taking all the trash out apparently :/

Ive also worked as a Cam girl and doing content, Have you considered sound proofing your room? I've had to before when I lived in an apartment building because there was always kids playing outside loud AF and Obviously couldn't have that in the background.

I have! The only issue is that the room is pretty small and filled with stuff; the consequences of two grown adults in one tiny room lol It's not a constant issue fortunately, just once in a while thank god haha

That's a real tough break, I'm sorry you're stuck in that situation.

I know it's not ideal, but perhaps you can find a free or cheap foam mattress topper, and use it as sound insulation around the door or other problem sound-leaking spots?

Oh it's alright, unfortunately I've tried that and the sounds still come through :/ besides, it's good motivation to keep saving up money! I appreciate the suggestion though :D
