An interesting story my mom told me this morning.
This morning, I had a really interesting conversation with my mother on spirituality in our family. We've had "witches" throughout our bloodline, and a strong tie to the "other side," or whatever you wanna call it.
Visits from deceased family members or a mysterious exhale down the neck are not crazy to experience. I've sat through many stories of seance predictions and ghostly visits at the Home Depot (R.I.P. Uncle Scott) throughout my upbringing.
Despite growing up in a spiritually charged family, I've still had my qualms with the occult and even now find it hard to believe in at times. But today was one of those days that I heard another remarkable story from my mother. The topic of pregnancy dreams led to my sister's imaginary friend named Denny.
When my sister was young, she was very troublesome and would blame her actions on Denny, and would even be caught having long, drawn-out conversations and arguments with him, "Denny! You're gonna get me in trouble." Kinda sounds cliche but bear with me pls. When asked what he looked like, he was blonde, with blue eyes, and wore a tophat (major swag).
Fast forward, my sister stops talking to him, and when asked where he went, she said, "Mommy, he went bye-bye." Of course, this piqued my mom's curiosity, and she asked where. My sister, exhausted by our mom's questions, said he was on the other side waiting to be born. My mom asked by who, and she said, "Duh, you mommy!"
A while later, in a class on mediums, a woman was doing readings. My mom asked if she could contact a young boy named Denny. Apparently, he was sitting Indian style between my mother and grandmother with blonde curly hair and blue eyes.
You probably guessed it, years later, I was born with blue eyes and blond curly hair. It's stories like these that make me grateful for having such spiritual figures in my life. it makes great conversation anytime the ghosts are brought up.

Thats pretty interesting, it reminds me of my younger sister. I'm the oldest so my younger sister used to have an imaginary friend named Lucy. It was kinda strange cuz she would always talk to "Lucy" and one time we were at the store and she was playing with "Lucy", When we asked where is she my sister responded with "oh she's right next to you(mom). Altho my parents never really looked into it since they're Christians.
I wonder who Lucy was? My mom would probably say "Lucy" decided not to "choose" your family, unless, of course, you have a third sibling. Then maybe that's who Lucy is...beats me. Imaginary friends are such an interesting thing, and there are so many odd and fascinating stories behind them.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and comment:)
