October, finally (TW DEAD ANIMAL)

Halloween time, folks. Leaves are changing and I can wear two sweaters without sweating my tits off. I've decided to be a bat for halloween, because it's an easy costume to make, easy to dance in (wings tied to my wrists and neck and a ear headband), and I'm a little strapped for cash right now. Me and my friends are going to see my favourite local band's annual halloween show on the 25th, which I'm very excited for. I went last year as well and it was a total blast. Our local scene is to die for, haha, get it.

Speaking of friends, one of mine told me today he's been keeping a collection of dead moths in a jar, and that he wanted to give it to my film teacher but she wasn't here today, so I jumped at the opportunity, and now he's going to give me a jar of moths! Isn't that NEAT!? Moths are way cooler than butterflies in my opinion, like, they're both beautiful of course, but moths are like butterflies' weird goth cousins and that's cool.

On a slightly less cool note, I was going for a walk behind my school's football field on this little trail on wednesday, and on the side I see this rabbit, fully inside-out, just a pile of skin and bones covered in maggots and flies. I sort of crouched down and just stared at it. Something about it was weirdly enthralling. I felt bad for the thing of course. It smelled awful, which like, duh, of course it did, it's a carcass. I had to stop when someone started walking my way on the trail and saw me sitting there staring at seemingly nothing like a weirdo, only to realize what it was once I walked away.

Anyways, I'll post my costume when it's done. Stay safe, stay a weird freak, love you guys.
