Descent

Moisture clings to smooth stone. Stray drips beat on sandy gravel. Mute melody to follow
Pitch black yet I can see. Soot footsteps lay the path ahead
Deeper yet neath rich veins, fine black powder coats my soles
This cold womb, a place to rest I'll adorn with yet another seam

I had this dream of descending into a mine that devoured me by slowly turning me to coal. I like dreams like this where you feel something is terribly wrong but you can't put it all together until it's too late and you're already petrified into chunks of coal

I wish I had dreams like that, the writing is worth it

unfortunately most of my dreams are either boring or i just never remember them. strangely this is not the only dream i had in which a physical location tries to kill me
