Okay so on my latest video I got a comment calling it '3rd degree cringe' and I replied asking why they thought that right, their reasoning was insane work. Mostly the last one. Their first one was calling me wearing a mask cringe, plenty of YouTubers have done that + I wear it for internet privacy so idrk what's cringe abt being safe but okay? Their second reason was calling cosplay cringe (I was comparing character inspired lolita coords to cosplaying as a lolita bc there are differences.) but anyways they can dislike cosplay but are they really going to every vaugely cosplay related video and commenting that or smth? Do they not have a life?? Well people are entitled to their opinions but why click on my video then?? Moving on, the worst part. They called "a fashion about a promiscuous teenage girl persuing an older man" (lolita) NO. Okay first of all I literally clairified in the video that the fashion is NOT related to the book. SECONDLY, normally when I get hate it's like "a pedo book" or whatever but basically normally putting the fault on the older man, WHICH IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. Associating my fashion with that rancid book is upsetting but what's more upsetting is a comment suggesting that it's the victims fault?? NO. NO BRO NO.
Update: they replied again, this time basically telling me to lose the mask? Hello? I'm a minor and I'd like my privacy ty <33
Here's a transcription of the interaction for anyone interested

Pardon? How exactly is explaing the differences in actually being a lolita and js cosplaying one cringe? Also if it was cringe why would you clim on it?
Lastly, i believe that to be an inside thought ((o(^∇^)o))
Farewell! Have a lovely day ^^

@StrawberryLolita30 The mask is cringe, cosplay is cringe, and considering the entire thing is named after a book about an underage promiscuous girl pursuing a much older man, that's cringe too.

1. The mask if for privacy
2. Why hate on cosplay
3. Lolita fashion is NOT. named after that book anf the name lolita itself existed before the book <3

@StrawberryLolita30 I'm not hating on cosplay. It's cringe, you know it, I know it, you can embrace it, and that's okay. The definition of lolita means a sexual1y alluring young woman, it'll never break with Nabokov's novel or Kubrik's film. Both are beloved classics in their own respect. I think it was the mask tying it all up like a big frilly bow that moved my fingers. I know Asians have been doing that for privacy, or whatever, long before 2020, but like the word, "lolita" the 'rona mask will forever be associated with a connotation. XE/XIRS, body type potato, pierced septum, excruciatingly hollow performative politics, and (the problem here) deviance.
Look, I think you should do you and go hard on this stuff. I can tell you're a beautiful woman with striking features, modest sensibilities, you're not doing anything controversial, and you seem alright. Don't go and dox yourself, but you can show your face.

some people are really mad
I kinda feel bad for people that're super bitter and ignorant. Their lives must not be very fulfilling.
