With the aftermath of this Charlie Kirk mess, I've noticed an increase of people complaining about "hate speech that isn't taken down when reported" on SpaceHey. The examples they proceed to give are things like "illegal immigrants are endangering American citizens" and "transwomen aren't women".
And what they fail to realize is that just because they don't like the speech, that does not make it "hate speech."
We've allowed the term "hate speech" to be so overused through the past decade that it has become meaningless. It no longer means genuinely hateful speech, like calling for lynchings, using slurs or actively calling for violence against people -- it now means "anything I don't agree with must be censored." They complain about the SpaceHey mods "oppressing minorities" when they legitimately violate rules, then turn around and shout "why isn't this account I don't like banned yet?!!! You mods suck ass!"
The goal of these people is not to "stop hate speech" -- it is to selectively remove any speech they do not like, thus forming a catered little bubble where the only opinions and beliefs allowed are those that reinforce their echo chamber. They want the rules of SpaceHey to only be applied in their favor, and not against them. They want to be allowed to threaten, insult and hate others without consequences, and when those consequences actually arrive they cry censorship. "You're silencing minorities!" Yes, when those minorities break the rules they agree to whenever they use this forum. Being a minority doesn't magically grant you a free pass to break rules, and enforcing said rules doesn't magically become racist when it's against you.
"The mods are biased!" Well, I imagine that yes, when you have a majority of rule-breakers that are leftists, consequences seem biased. Perhaps stop telling the people in your party that violating the rules is okay.
"We don't agree with your stupid fake-ass morals!" Well.... That's how we've gotten to the place we're at, ain't it? How's that going for you? Lmao.
It's astounding that we live in an age where avoiding things we don't want to see or hear is as easy as: scrolling, turning off the TV, closing a tab, hitting the back button... And yet people are as outraged as ever over things they can easily swipe away from. They are outraged by their own lack of self-control that they let these things dictate their entire lives. What a sad existence.

They just want supremacy. They are just as hungry for world domination as they claim white people are. They dont care about minorities or gay people, they just want to destroy anyone that disagrees. Much like an angry chimpanzee, they would rather break you apart than kill you. But given recent events, i'm not sure how solid that comparison is now.

I came across your Charlie Kirk post and I'm still reading through that one but I just wanted to say these are super refreshing and really thought provoking. I had no idea what the Yellow Deli thing was until reading that one. Crazy

these users drop their unhinged takes, get mad when ppl push back, and then cry that the site is “full of nazis,” or that they’re being “harassed,” or that “no one understands their blog.”

Probably; I just did my daily round of nuking gross comments LOL. There was one especially bad one that I basically told them "smile for the camera :D" and then reported and deleted it. I find it a little funny that they'll see I responded, go to click the notification with what I'm sure is a scathing reply prepared, only to see that their comment is gone.

I don't recall their username, but they basically said you were wrong wrong wrong about hate speech for some spurious nonsensical reasons, and that essentially you shouldn't have free speech yourself. All I said was "So you don't think Dana should have free speech?" Lol

Ohhhh yep I saw that one LMAO, it was from that "realmikahours" chick. I toasted them because she went out of her way to comment on all 3 of my posts about it after blocking me, and I wasn't gonna waste the energy on her lol.
I probably would've just told her that I wasn't trying to be "intellectual" and if that was her first impression, then maybe she should consider why the side that sounds more intellectual isn't hers LMAO. And I'd also remind her that just because something gets her panties in a twist, doesn't mean that it's hate speech. She doesn't get to just make up definitions as she goes along depending on who said it. I'd also remind her that if she "doesn't want to hear" opposing opinions, then she shouldn't take time out of her day to drop her lukewarm takes on posts she doesn't like.
She also somehow managed to think that encouraging cordial debate is promoting the rise of Nazism, or some dumb shit like that. Clearly she didn't even read the post she was referring to. Nazis would actually just shoot anyone who said something they didn't like.... Kind of like leftists.

Yep! Only in comments though -- I was able to say it in my blog on Nazism lol. Kind of funny since people can easily get around it the same way you did xD And yeah, I find it extremely ironic that Charlie was answering a question about trans shooters when he was killed. I do think there is a definite link. We saw it all the time in the students he debated -- you could tell some were just incredibly mental. And usually they ended up throwing a fit and walking away rather than confront their exposed illness.
I personally think that when someone is convinced/manipulated into changing their body in such a dramatic way, the mind can no longer reconcile it, and just snaps. Hence the high rates of suicide, depression, anxiety and other accompanying mental conditions. Not to mention the physical ramifications of the surgeries and hormones...

Absolutely agree. Recently, there's been a lot of classifying the move for transgender freedom as "hate speech". Our own government can just decide that "trans people need medical care" is hate speech, and classify you as a terrorist. Messed up stuff.

all of your examples constitute hate speech.
