The first one has a rather deep but calm river. Is it difficult? Maybe at first, but then things get easier, which is normal. In the end, you get what you want. Everything may seem calm, although there may be difficulties, which is average.

The next one may have two paths, one easy, or one turbulent or difficult; things may lead to only having the second option or leaving both, that or masochism.
