Hey, could someone help me with html and css on here (especially css, I can't get it to work no matter how much I try). The website is pretty weird when it comes to the code, I read that you have to write all the code in the 'About Me' section which I find a little confusing and uncomfortable as a beginner. How do I switch between HTML and CSS easily? Please help and thank you!

New here and I need some help with html/css

When i started to code my profile i used Crypitic Jasmine's spacehey layout tutorial on youtube, it was really helpful for learning the basics. And about switching from css to html, everything you write inside is css, and everything out of it is html, i think.

I wonder if people read the blogs lmao
I'm one of those people. :P
Could you clarify on what you mean by "switching between HTML and CSS"? Do you know how to program in both languages?

well, as I said I'm a beginner so be patient with me here! When I try to make webpages, I usually use Notepad+++ for coding and have two or more different directionaries for HTML and CSS stuff acordingly to not confuse the content of said webpage with its presentation. And I can't do the same here which got me sad lol. Maybe I should study this stuff more.

If you use already use Notepad(++...whatever) (I use BBEdit on a Macintosh. Don't judge me lol), you should find it rather easy to customize your page, as SpaceHey uses the same HTML document formatting for your profile page..along with some custom CSS class names for the SpaceHey navigation bar, and other elements... I'd suggest that if you're a beginner with HTML/CSS, you should take a look at the "Layouts" page here on SpaceHey. There are lots of pre-made profile layouts that are free, and fully customizable. If I were you, I would get one of those, and customize it to my liking--using it as a foundation for your own profile page. Hope this helps! :)

yeah that is a good idea, it's basically what i Just did to change my background color lol, copy the code, delete the parts I don't want, put my own it their place. I definitely don't want to copy whole parts of others' layouts since I wanna experiment by myself, thank you for helping me tho!
