How to romanticise school - tutorial :) PART 1: basics!

Hey! 2 years ago I wrote a tutorial on how to romanticise school so I decided to translate it to help more people! Here it goes!

Hi! In this tutorial I will show you habits and ways that will help you romanticise school and prevent you from suffering because of it. Let's get into it!

First things first: I suggest making a plan/vision board even a week before school starts. My plan 2 years ago had 11 tasks, but it can be shorter or longer. Organisation is useful at school, so it's worth it to start working on it as soon as possible.

Now let's look at what I put on my plan. The first task was cleaning my room - especially my desk. A clean workspace helps study effectively and prevents distractions. I honestly can't focus in a messy place.

Another important thing is acquiring stationery, notebooks and necessary textbooks. In some cases you can write in an old notebook, so if possible try to save paper, money and stationery. I recommend getting a planner as well if you like to plan. If you don't want to waste your money on one you can use a regular notebook or an app, like Notion, or even built in Notes app on your phone. If aesthetics are important to you, try to make a colour themed set.

Before school starts it's worth it to get your body used to going to sleep and waking up earlier. Most readers of my tutorial are probably teens, so you require 8-10 hours of sleep a night. I recommend going to sleep before 10 PM if possible, around 11 PM at most. If you struggle to fall asleep, acquire pills with melatonin. When it comes to getting up - i recommend Sleep Cycle. You can download it on Google Play, and it works by listening to your sleep overnight and waking you up in the morning in the timeframe you select (like from 6 to 6.30 AM) when your sleep is the lightest. It's easier to wake up this way. I also advise you to place a glass of water on your nightstand. Begin your day with drinking the water, before the alarm even stops ringing.

What we watch online significantly affects our mood. For motivation I can recommend watching so called study vlogs and guides. They are usually very aesthetic so that even studying seems fun. You can also put on a quiet "study with me", where someone records themself studying, and you just study along. There's lots of YouTube channels with such content, out of which I'd like to recommend and it's called DreamSushi. This person used to motivate me a lot in 2022. You can also watch videos from channels like AdviceByAngel and Obakie.

To indulge in the school life vibes, I advise you watch films, shows, cartoons, anime and read books with a school theme. This way you can imagine yourself as your favourite character and suddenly school becomes a story you are creating. It doesn't have to be a smarty-pants character, I just choose favourite characters that attend school and imagine myself as them. Some examples: Gilmore Girls, Nichijou, K-On, Harry Potter, Horimiya, Lucky Star, Azumanga Daioh, Maid-Sama.

Create some playlists. Some examples for playlists to make: walking to school, coming back home, study (songs without lyrics). Such playlists have to be for a certain task, so avoid listening to them in other situations. Think about creating a soundtrack for your life.

It's all for now. If you've got any questions, feel free to ask! I gtg I'm in potions class hehehe (also I kin Snape but that's the only character I kinfirmed over the time I was gone).
