I decided i'll move any discussions about my oc's here, mostly so that i don't clog my personal twitter and annoy my friends (tho i'm 90% sure they already silenced me lmao)
So yeah! Nadia Rizzo, 29 years old at the time of the story. In my mind she's a steadfast captain, brave and ready when facing monsters twice her size, and only just a bit brutally honest and unforgiving when she sees fit (often when someone is being insubordinate and questioning her decisions too much*). When she sets her mind to do something most of the times she's able to come back with the desired result and if not, then it would be the second best.
Her cold demeanour often makes it look like she thinks she's better than everyone else but that's quite the opposite, although she knows she excels in the areas that matter to her and is not afraid to say so. She's not the most patient person in town (*) and gets frustrated easily when she's unable to make herself understood when explaining her reasoning; and gets downright enraged if someone tries to speak over her or cut her off. She's very respectful towards others so she expects the same treatment, and things will go south if not since she's not at all afraid to throw some punches.
That's why the townsfolk find her relationship (or lack thereof) with Cain quite amusing. He's the only person allowed to treat her badly without her batting an eye. It's not to say she doesn't mind it, when Cain's being nasty to her she'll pull one of her earth-scorching glares and snarl at him if he crosses too many lines, but she will never put a finger on him (although she will defend herself if he throws the first punch). Most of the time they're both indifferent to each other, but those with a keen eye will tel you it almost feels like Nadia feels a type of remorse or guilt towards the man, but no one dares to question her about it.
I don't want people to think she's unpleasant to be around, she's not the nicest person but she plays her social role well when the townsfolk aren't antagonizing her.
The aforementioned have varied opinions about her, in their society it's frowned upon to have someone so young (and a women no less) ocuppy such significant role as Chief Forest Ranger, especially since they're the ones responsible for protecting the town against monster attacks and conducting research and rescue missions of missing people. But Nadia is very good at what she does, perhaps the best at it, so the people can only complain so much. However what most people dislike of her is not entirely related to her profession but rather who she is as a person, never the girly type nor remotely interested in any activities that are "for women". Her disinterest in finding a husband only fueling this notion of her being a deviant with ideas brought by outsiders, which is the very thing the townsfolk hate the most. Her scarred face doesn't help her case since it makes her not conventionally atractive and, therefore, useless.
If they were less judgmental they would find out that Nadia is quite fun to hang out with, her crude humor and sarcasm brought out by alcohol only make her more charming, even if only for the fact that they show she's not entirely made out of stone. Cedrik found out about this and is baffled to remember he once saw Nadia as an unreachable, impossible being; he thinks the image of a turtle suits her better, a hard exterior to cover for the immensely sensitive heart that hides beneath it.
He knows something happened to her since he vaguely remembers the girl she used to be when she was younger, and he really wishes she would trust him more to open up about it, but it feels like it's one of those secrets she's alredy decided she's gonna take to the grave.
