i see people hating on christians an odd amount on here? which like . yeah typical for atheist teens and sometimes warranted (when people are using their religion to spread hate) but if people aren't hurting you or trying to coerce you into converting why are you hating . saw someone complaining about gay christians ??? why do you care so much it has no effect on you whatsoever . religion is a personal thing and queer people can have complex relationships with it without abandoning it . i'm not even christian this just bothers me cuz it's the same people that gripe about freedom of religion and equality for all saying this shit

It's fallout from the culture wars, some of which I vividly remember from before you were born. I've long-since learned to stop judging people necessarily based on their religion because I think shared political and personal views are more important. It's pretty sad because the most Christian Americans tend not to be white, but thanks to the Republican Party, Christianity is associated by many Americans with old people who believe in magic and using violence to solve problems.
