liars liars liars

people would just keep lying and lying just to maintain peace. but fuck, how long can that last? how long can you carry the weight of fear, the heavy burden of lying so often? as a friend, it hurts me too. it hurts that even though we always keep a chill atmosphere between us, i'm still constantly being lied to. from small silly things to matters involving trust. i get that it's a personality trait, this fear of any kind of conflict, but why is it so strong that they even lie about things where it's hard to imagine an argument happening?
