i came across this movie really randomly lol. i saw the movie cover in an installer for a pirated game. (which otherwise i can only have pirated). 

and now that i watched the movie i even wonder if they guys behind the installers are acting upon the teachings of the movie.. hmm who knows..

the movie starts literally from the beginning :p a narrator is telling the story of how amelie came to be. how her parents brought her to life. and i found it funny that they made so much emphasis into the hobbies and likings of the people being described. even in a cat! this cat liked watching children play. 

the overly-smiley face in the cover made me think this was some kind of psychopath movie but when it wasn't at all. i mean the eccentricities of some people in there are questionable and the starting music also kept my thinking the same for a moment, but it really wasnt like that.

she did have a difficult childhood, her father wasnt very affectionate to her as he worked as a doctor in the army, her mother a teacher was very rigorous and strict. this lack of affection and her father doing only a monthly health check to her, made her heart go bumping in excess leading to him to think she was having heart problems and not letting her stay out. this creating a wholeee lot more of problems, traumas, and whatnot. it's really interesting, the environment where we grow up can shape us so vastly. its a very good, interesting movie amd movies like that came to you in the least expected moment!
