Gerard Way is Awesome

I saw My Chemical Romance tonight and it was incredible. A true showman that Mr Way is. They stayed in character for the first half of the show and the effects and theme and theatrics were both funny, intense, and well done. 9th grade me would be in shock. I'm in shock. It's like I was at home with my boyz. Seeing them felt so right and so comforting and yet I've never seen them before and never thought I would. They played Black Parade in near entirety and that's pretty much what I would want seeing a band like MCR. Honestly it's a dream of mine to see Fall Out Boy play From Under the Cork Tree and Infinity on High in its entirety and throw in some Take This To Your Grave. Well done, men. What a fucking show. I'm so pleased and shaking with joy and elation. That's how you mf do it! 

I also loved seeing the crowd it brought in. Literally everyone in black and red in either merch shirts, dresses, scene clothes, or the classic black button down, black skinny jeans, red tie. Saw a lot of that. Lots of face paint too. 

Speaking of face paint! Gerard looked fucking ILL and disturbed. It was gorgeous. He had scratches on his face dark eyes and a sickly pale complexion. As he got sweaty (cause it's fucking hot and humid) his hair got wetter and slicker and he brushed it back on stage and it was so creepy and engaging. A true showman. Fucking great. 

I won't spoil the show for anyone else seeing them on this tour. It was really really well done. 9th grade me is shaking in her boots!
