as for me - when i go for a walk, i usually come back with a lot of photos. too many. there are just too many interesting things in the world. in my opinion, those 'boring photos' - for example, a picture of some random fire hydrant by a field - can actually be even more interesting. the viewer ends up staring at it, wondering 'what was the author trying to say?' or 'does this have some hidden meaning?' - 'why are there flowers growing only around this hydrant, but not farther away?' - and you can just sit there pondering over this stupid picture, and that’s the fun part

there's an infinitesimal amount of stories to be seen and viewed in every inch of our planet. i do think it's fair to say that 'boring' photos may not qualify for good or worthwhile photography in a cinematic sense but i think it's still as capable of being profound and beautiful
