why is so much happening this summer and everything’s going by so fast

first time in my life i flew on a plane, i went to sleepovers at my friends, i drank more alcohol than just a sip of my parents champagne on new year’s *didn’t get drunk!!*, i went on a trip with my bff, i discovered how much aimless walks boost my mood and along the way i found a bunch of cool new spots in my area, like open places with no buildings where i feel so alive, this is probably the best and craziest summer of my life so far 

i can’t fall asleep, just lying here thinking about how many new things a teenager experiences, finding out what they like and what they don’t, even though thinking about it doesn’t really lead to anything useful. i want to fall asleep
