It’s been 3 months since I stopped smoking.
And honestly… it made me realize how much I used to rely on cigarettes especially during stress.
Now without them, I feel like I can’t handle pressure the same way.
I lose focus, my hands shake, my anxiety gets worse.
I get angry over the smallest things.
Sometimes… I even hurt myself.
If anyone out there has been through this and found a way to cope
Please, share your tips. I could really use the help.

i haven't had to deal with substance issues, but i have had to watch my father and many of my friends spiral out of control with it. just recently one of my friends started to try and drop his alcoholism through things he liked doing. when he wants to drink he picks up a book and reads or he makes some lego stuff. my dad didn't have anything like that. he just worked and drank. so he ended up falling back onto it and hasn't been able to get back off yet. i think the most important thing is to remember you are capable of not relying on it, and finding something to do when you're struggling to remember that. especially if it's something you can physically do, like sewing or sculpting, etcetera

Hello, proud of you for making it 3 months! Never smoked but had my own substance issues (alcohol), i think it will get better with time but the point i wanna say is that life is stressful and we need some Coping mechanism, which for you could be the nicotine prolly. I think one of the most important things is to find some healthy Coping mechanism:) for example to reliebe stress you will exorcise, or find some hobby - to xreate, to dance, to move, to spend time w people. Sorry if my advice seems useless:( but i am hoping for the best for you!:)
