it only lasted 4 days but honestly i wish it was longer :(( still i’m really happy, the group i was with was super cool, the instructor was super helpful and kind, and most importantly - i finally learned how to take pics with a dslr in manual mode!! just like i promised earlier, i’ll show some photos here (i actually took better ones than the ones below but i’m not sharing them here for privacy reasons), and i know they’ll probably look awful in this blog’s quality, but that’s the best i can upload here lol
on the first day we just sat and got introduced to the basics of shooting in manual mode, and tbh it wasn’t super easy to figure out at first
on day two we already started taking pics outdoors, in a park, mostly using phone cameras. when i tried using the dslr in full manual mode it totally didn’t work out for me, but oh well. i kinda gave up on it at that point but we had so much fun during the group activities :P
on the third day we went to this abandoned church and its cemetery. i already wrote about that in my last blog - it was a pretty interesting experience. we learned how to shoot architecture and portraits. i was kinda cheating and using auto mode a lot but at least i enjoyed taking the pics lmao
today, day four, we went to another park. we learned how to do photo reportage, take pics of sunlight through leaves, and other basic but useful stuff. and!! today i took all my photos in manual mode!! i really did what i set out to do. still learning, but i’m getting better and better!
during the whole course i realized i enjoy photographing pretty scenery with a dslr, closeups of plants, and pigeons :PP but the instructor said he started the same way so i guess it’s a good beginning
