the smell of henna

i dyed my hair ginger today using henna. it was quite an interesting experience - first, i had to prepare a paste from the henna powder, let it sit for 30 minutes, and after applying it to my hair, i had to keep it on for 3 hours. the final result - it turned out good, but omg. while regular hair dyes have that chemical smell that makes you feel like you’ll end up in the hospital if you sniff it too long, this henna smelled absolutely amazing the whole time, like herbal tea. i almost felt bad washing it out (though after washing, the scent still lightly stays on my hair). i wish they made perfumes or body mists that smell like this kind of herbal tea, i’d probably buy it
