Inkcarertaion Day 0 and Day 1

Hey Y'all! Currently I'm at a music festival called Inkcarertaion and I'd figure it would be nice if I were to blog each day and my experience since it's my first festival. Below are Thursday and Fridays recap.

Thursday:

I woke up at 4 am and got in the shower before getting ready to hit the road. I was told we we would leave at 6am but we left at 8am after my uncle's friend didn't show up when he was supposed to. We picked up his other friend and got on the road. Im in PA and Inkcarertaion is in Ohio. Our first pit stop was at dunkin in a town 30 mins away from my college. My brother and I swapped seats, I went in back he went in front. Our next stop was at a rip off Sheetz that was at the border of Ohio, I got a drink. Our last stop was at Walmart, we got snacks and drinks. We finally got to the camp grounds and drove a bit to get to our campsite. Our two neighbors are very nice, a couple and a group of 3 friends. We set up our camp then made dinner, which was ribs. After we ate, we wandered around the camp grounds and we met up with my uncles friend that didn't show up at 6am. He had his 2 kids with him too, 2 teenagers. Me, my brother, and his 2 kids left the older adults to walk around and listen to the small band that was doing karaoke. I then got shoved into my first pit, it was confusing but fun. Then my brother got everyone to do a 'row pit' which is where everyone sits on the ground and rows, like a boat. After that we listened to more music then walked around. We ran into a lady from the pit that helped look for my brothers glasses when he lost them. She was very nice, gave us cherry Pepsi, and said that we were all her adopted children now. Then we all went back to our campsites to relax before bed. For my first musical festival, im very happy I came to this one. It's like a giant version of one of my college clubs, expect with rock and metal music. Tonight was the pre-party, im exicted for the actual festival to begin with all the headliners.

Friday:

Woke up Friday to it downpouring so the festival grounds didn't open till later on. My family and I stayed at the camp until the rain let up, I decided to shower early on. Honestly, it was a really good shower, better than the ones in my freshman dorm. For breakfast I had egg and bacon on a bagel, lunch was burgers, after lunch we hopped on the line to get on the shuttle to the festival grounds. We waited 2 and a haft hours, it was like waiting for the Creed concert all over again. My uncle then decided to order a Lyft to take us there. Once we got dropped off we walked the rest to the grounds since there was traffic, then I saw it. I was super exicted to get there and see the Reformatory. We got in and immediately went to one of the stages, Devil Wears Prada was playing and my brother managed to get us pretty close up the stage. My brother started asking us if wanted to go up since others were getting up and crowd surfing. My brother asked these strong guys to send my uncles friends kids up first then my brother went up. My uncle then found me and asked if I was going up, I said yes. He got those men to lift me up and off I went. My first time crowd surfing was awsome to say the least. We then went back and forth to different stages listening to different bands. Then we stayed listening for IPrevail. When we were listening a guy in a Slytherin Harry Potter coustume told my brother he was going up. My brother said no he gotta stay with us, the guy then said that we all go up too, he lifts my brother and the 2 kids up and they go, my uncle follows behind. I was left with them when they guy turned to me and 2 girls saying if we wanna go up he'll help us. I said might as well let me go up since the rest of my family went up. This is where I then met my husband, this guy picks me up with. one. arm. And sends me up. Now I'm not at all skinny nor did anyone every lift me before especially with one arm. That's my husband right there. After IPrevail we kept bouncing stages then got food, then it was time for one of two bands I wanted to see for the day. First up was Beartooth, if you go to my profile and hear the song I coded in it, it's a Beartooth song. I never felt so happy to hear a band play, their vibe was just on point and it was very welcoming. I freaked when they started playing 'Might Love Myself' its my favorite of theirs. Then knocked loose played after. Then the headliner, Falling In Reverse. I was ecstatic to hear them play. It was filling a hole from my childhood, since I grew up listening to them. They did most of their new stuff and some oldies. I lost my voice afterwards. Then we got on the shuttle back to camp. Safe to say that I had a blast for Day 1 of Inkcarertaion.
