im suddenly thinking about the descendants movies a lot right now. I remember being there when the first movie aired and I just loved them as a kid. my favorite was Jay which tracks with my taste in men these days lol, but I think I'm gonna rewatch them. it feels kinda cringe as an 18 year old dude now, but you know. cringe but free.
I watched hikeilokei's videos on them today and it's funny like....they're SO bad but i don't care I love them anyways. I honestly think it'd be fun to try my hand at rewriting them, just as a fun little project for myself. I'm always trying to write longer works and something about the idea of rewriting a movie has always seemed fun to me (though I wonder if it's disrespectful?)
anyways I hope I'm not the only one here who's way too old to be so fond of these movies haha, if u see this tell me your favorite character or wtv :3

Bro omg omg you just reminded me of my core childhood memory. I was a Nickelodeon kid and I was so obsessed with that movie I would get jealous of the people on YouTube who were unboxing and playing with descendants dolls or merchandise, I would literally watch stuff like that every day.
I loved Mal cuz.. edgy 8 year old me liked purple, and I had short hair. I would sing the songs in the movie whenever I can and I would act like I’m Mal, a bad beep. Thinking back it was cringe asf. I remember meeting someone with the name Mal, and I stared daggers at them cuz they had the name Mal. I was such a weird kid.
I was an ever after high kid too (dk if you know that), so after my descendants phase I hated the descendants cuz I read that ever after high stopped producing because of the descendants :D
omgg when I was a kid I was like...weirdly anti liking the main character in anything so I never cared for mal but if I didn't have that weird rule I think I woulda loved her. I found out today about the ever after high thing which sucksss. I didn't know about it as a kid but it looks so cute
