There's a new Canadian-made social media platform in the works. For now, they're still getting things set up. The URL is:

Clicking on the Roadmap link on the top of the screen, a little to the right of center, shows their progress. It looks like it'll be interesting.

Things have been coming a long with Gander Social. A few more things to take care of before the public beta is opened.
I hope they take notice of what's been happening with the bigger players so as not to fall into the same sorts of less than ideal things that have been going on.
