why are all jeans high rise now

aside from the obvious sizing problem thats been around since the beginning of time, the last time i went to buy new clothes i was so annoyed i almost lost my mind. ive lost a decent amount of weight since the last time i bought clothes, so i really needed new jeans. (i am a through and through skinny jeans person, you will never catch me in straight leg or mom jeans.) 

i needed a pair of black, dark blue and light blue ones. skinny jeans are hard to find as it is, so i thought i'd settle for bootcut if theres nothing else available. i take my happy ass to target first and go to the jeans section. what do i see?

rows and rows of jeans. and theyre. all. HIGH RISE. and not just regular high rise. i mean, the kind of high rise that looks like overalls with no straps. all of them. none of them were labeled "low rise," some were labeled "mid rise" and everything else was "tits rise." i have a short torso anyway, but if i cant even find a true mid rise jean then i look like the jeans are swallowing me whole. 

so i think, maybe its just a fluke. i could be exaggerating, maybe all the mid rise are sold out. i go to walmart. walmart is even WORSE. i tried on a few pairs and i might have shed a few tears in the bathroom when i looked like urkel and my grandma at the same time. i have no idea why they insist on labeling ultra high rise jeans as mid rise. 

so, in conclusion, no sizing that makes sense, no more skinny jeans, and no more true mid/low rise. if anyone could get me the email to BIG JEAN i'd greatly appreciate it. :)
