my day

i've spent all day writing, journaling, playing pokemon insurgence, reading SCP, playing pikmin bloom. now i'm resting and coding my neocities...

i am loving pokemon insurgence. i can hardly find any recent discussion about the game, but it's easily one of my favorite pokemon fan games (although i have hardly played any, so there's not much competition...)

my team is built entirely on aesthetics over actual usefulness -- with the exception of delta grimer, who is just disgusting looking, but i keep him around to trump fire types

i'm counting down the time until i can get my own delta fire/water petilil, which i ADORE the design of. i compulsively have to name all of my pokemon to ensure i feel somewhat attached to them, otherwise they just feel like props. and it's really boring not to name them.

kirlia's name is Hyacinth, based on the flower. i can't describe this one, because real hyacinths are  purple and not green, but it felt fitting nonetheless

delta bulbasaur is named Bulby. i know, horrible name, but i'm thinking of better names. maybe i should've named him hyacinth instead, given he's *actually* purple. someone suggest a better name for this poor bulbasaur :( 

delta grimer is named Dune, based on sand dunes. yeah, this one was lame too... i could do better

axel's name is Iris, after the trainer who had an axel in the generation 5 games. i loved unova so much, i feel like i see it in every pokemon game i play nowadays. nothing will live up to it........

petilil is named Belladonna, after the plant. funnily enough, belladonnas are poisonous, but i felt the elegance of the name would be fitting for a fully evolved lilligant. (my petilil is precious and not poisonous)

my delta scyther is named Cleaver, because i never changed the name when i was traded it. maybe i'll do something edgy like snow white or shiver, but those feel lame. i like cleaver anyway 

on another note, i'm getting really into SCP again. i've been re-reading the Apotheosis series, one of my favorites of all time, and i'm yet again blown away by the fantastic writing. all i'll say is that if a shining blue light ever began to mutate me, i'd embrace it and thrive. i would gladly trade out my flesh prison for an enhanced mutant form... hopefully i get a cool one, and i don't have my brain exploded like that one guy

i am FINALLY reworking my neocities. i'm abandoning my old one and creating a new url, but when it's finished i'll post it. also, i've ought to make facebook and tumblr accounts. i need to be officially free from modern social medias, and the two of those stray the farthest from that. hooray!

i know no one reads these, but it's nice to jot down my thoughts anyway. maybe, in a few years, i'll look back on this, and reminisce on one of the weirdest times in my teen life. ♡
