Those familiar with my profile and blog history will know that earlier this year I spent twelve weeks in an abusive wilderness program. One thing that happened to me was a new low even for the sadistic vermin who staff the program.
One of the staff had had it in for me for a while. (I don’t even know why now). One day he started taunting me and saying things like if I was better behaved my mom and dad wouldn’t have sent me there. I replied that it was my dad who sent me and my mom had nothing to do with it. He then told me what a shit mom she must be if she takes my side over my dad. This remark infuriated me and I yelled at him,”Don’t you talk about my mom like that you asshole. You don’t know anything about it “. He then yelled back,”Don’t you fucking speak to me like that you mouthy little shit” and then he punched me in the face and knocked me out. I now have three front teeth missing because of it.
The only reason I don’t name him (and the program)right here and now to publicly shame them is for legal reasons relating to the lawsuit my mom has filed against the program. Otherwise I would name them just to humiliate them because no matter what the rights and wrongs of me talking back to him there’s no excuse for a grown man violently assaulting a minor.

So this is your argument against corporate punishment? This is impulse and irresponsibility, not an instructional punishment appropriate to what it responds to. Also, “leather belt” is a metaphor for parental discipline through consequence so please get better at media literacy and literacy overall.
Maybe you did not have it soft, but it is still your duty to carry your unequal burden, and carry it wisely.
I presume that “corporate punishment “is a typo since you are clearly referring to our discussion elsewhere about corporal punishment. There was nothing in your comment about a leather belt which suggested it was a metaphor and the context implied otherwise but if you say it was a metaphor then fair enough.
I don’t see why you suggest that I don’t carry my “unequal burden “well. My psychologist says that I am dealing well with my trauma.
With regards to your remark about my literacy skills. My reading writing and comprehension skills are considered to be above average for a 14 y/o. If I write an essay at school and one of my teachers adds such a comment I would accept it as constructive criticism but I don’t expect a stranger online to say it.

I never said don’t carry it bro. I said the opposite.

I didn’t say that you told me don’t carry it. I said that I don’t know why you think that I don’t carry it. I suppose that how I worded it may have caused you to misunderstand what I meant.

That is shocking and sickening. I'm sorry you went through that. I hope that sadistic beast gets what's coming to him... Unbelievable. He shouldn't be working - let alone with youngsters. There ought to be cameras around that place so that things like that can't happen. It makes you wonder how many others he's goaded and done that to... Do you know if he got sacked from his job?
I hope you manage to get some dental treatment, as in a dental implant, a bridge, a denture of some sort :)
Dentist's are quite pricey here though
Thanks. Unfortunately they don’t have cameras in wilderness because you are literally living in a camp out in a wild environment (a forest in the case of the program I was in) without electricity or any access to modern technology or conveniences. Most of the staff were cruel sadistic people who routinely found ways to make our lives hell. Incidents of physical abuse (such as slapping, forced restraining, shoving and such like) were an everyday occurrence. The punch was just a new low. The staff usually stuck together and covered up for each other so I doubt that he will have lost his job.
The punch in the face is one of two incidents that my mom has filed a lawsuit against the program over. The other is the incident when I injured my knee and was refused first aid. (This incident is described in another blog). I was told that I couldn’t have first aid because I had to earn it.(I’ve since learned that the program has no such rule and that the person who told me that made it up just because he wanted to make me suffer).
We are hoping that we can make the program pay for dental implants and also for surgery on my knee. (I understand that in the UK the NHS will probably cover knee surgery but I also have heard that it means a long wait). My mom has been told that the lawsuit is likely to go on for a long time and that the outcome is by no means certain.
