Baroque is precisely THAT bitch and there is no debate about it; what there is debate about, in my head at least, is the meaning of all of this. Did our not crazy vampire bite his beloved? If that were the case, what I think is coming up next in Voyage wouldn't make much sense. Because is he even a vampire yet... ? Or did he just strangle her for no reason (men...) and THEN turn into a vampire through a sort of pact with the devil to try and get her back? And mostly: is there a single storyline developing through at least the first two eras? I guess I'll have to go on and dig deeper, potentially risking psychosis, to find out. In the meantime, thank you for being here!
バロック
(music: Mana / lyrics: Tetsu)
Holy moment & Silent moment
Shine with Brilliant colors
and I stay up to Brilliant Vacant
[跪き首筋の黒い跡を消す術を探す]
Sweet corpse
僕の中のこの愛をおもりにして
暗い底まで沈んでいこう
これでもう彼女は離れない
僕はもう彼女を離さない
「あなたの吐息を溜息も この手で止めたから」

* The word in the original lyrics is "seijōsa" (normality), but "matomosa" (honesty) is sung
* "Omaetachi" is written, but "omaera" is sung, and they both mean "you" (plural)
Baroque
I am not crazy Come on, be honest already
Stop pretending that you are dead
You are the crazy ones
I simply offered a modest love
The lukewarm thoughts overflowing from your icy mouth...
Let me hear your voice Smile at me
Gently, as always
I stroke your shivering cheek
Gently, as always
A love ephemeral like a mirage
Is now larger and greater than eternity
Because I stopped your breath with these hands
Because I stopped your sigh with these hands
Holy moment & Silent moment
Shine with Brilliant colors
Holy moment & Silent moment
And I stay up to Brilliant Vacant
[I kneel on the floor and look for a way to erase the black trace on the back of your neck]
If I ran my tongue over the lukewarm thoughts overflowing from your icy mouth
This love, ephemeral like a mirage, would be larger and greater than eternity
Holy moment & Silent moment
Shine with Brilliant colors
Holy moment & Silent moment
And I stay up to Brilliant Vacant
Because I stopped your breath with these hands
Because I stopped your sigh with these hands
Oh my sweet corpse
I will take care of this love inside of me
My sweet corpse
Towards the dark end...
My sweet corpse
Let's sink together
[I am not crazy Come on, be honest already
Stop pretending that you are dead
I stroke your shivering cheek
Gently...]
Now she will never leave me
I will never let her go
Notes: First off, I sort of gave up on the brackets in the translation, but everything that is repeated in the song is (should be) there. Then, as I pointed out underneath the rōmaji lyrics, there are two little differences in what is written and what is sung at the beginning. While the second (Omaetachi/ omaera) is irrelevant, if we took into account the written lyrics, the translation would be something like "Come on, go back to normal already". I don't think I have anything more constructive to say about these beautiful lyrics, so if you have any theories, or any comment at all, let me know!
