I have been into satanism for quite some time. I first started considering it 2 years ago and i only started getting into it after i ended a relationship that i was at that time. There is no specified way of being a Satanist. There are theistic satanists or Luciferians, who believe in Satan or Lucifer as a God. However i feel like satanism is much more common in a philosophical, atheistic way mostly related to LaVey's Satanism. This is what i believe in. It is focused on an individualist. Satan is only a symbol of rebellion, freedom and independence. Satanists are supposed to believe in themselves. They should choose their own life path that is not influenced by anyone or anything else.
Where are the moral principles then, you'd ask? I believe you dont need religions to have human morality, but if it wasn't yet obvious, there are some. Stated by The Church of Satan, the general rules consider not doing unnecessary harm, treating people how they treat you, not getting in the way of other people, unless theyre okay with it.
Satanism help me develop a lot. Im by nature a shy people
pleaser. Satanism sort of shows me the way that i want to follow. It
taught me how to deal with mean people and basically serve in my life.
Just to be sure, i still have problems with speaking up or people
pleasing, but right now its so much better than it was and my faith
helped me with it.
I have met some satanists that were simply just
weird. A lot of people call themselves satanists, when they are simply
just anti-christians. They then might vandalize graves or christian
churches. The others just disrespect people of other religions and say
that their religion is the only true one.
I think these people just
by doing it break the basic rules of satanism or at least of the LaVey's
Satanism. A lot of religions are indeed discriminative to other people,
but it should not be a reason to disrespect their believers, especially
when they havent said anything provocative towards you. Basic respect
should be the main rule for all Satanists whether they're atheistic or
theistic. ⛧⃝𓄃⸸

I know satanists dont actually worship satan, and that they just use him as a symbol to oppose religion. But I don't see why you would use the embodiment of evil to represent you and then create laws that are in complete opposition to that, like treating things with compassion.
You see, in Christianity Satan means sin and evilness. We interpret it much differently. In many religions Satan is the one who rebelled against God, who tried going seperated, independent way without being dependent on any higher force. We believe that Satan isn't evil and never was. He represents nature, knowledge and freedom. We don't believe in hell, as it makes so sense. Again, biblically Satan is perceived negatively (and satanism has very little to do with Christianity) but even if you look at the bible, God killed millions more humans than Satan did. In fact, Satan killed almost no one. All he did was encourage people to step away from beingcontrolled by the bigger power and start making independent decidions.
So the satanist rules and the symbol of satan do make a lot of sense with this Interpretation.

But the desire to serve only yourself is in line with the seven deadly sins, which is the root of all evil. The devil lead humans away from goodness, and to instead serve only themselves, and all evil in the world stems from that.

Lovely blog! It is very interesting to learn about it, thank you for sharing about it! Satanism seems a beautiful religion! Just as beautiful as all the rest... Every religion should be respected... All of them coexisting together and respecting each other ^_^
