Doing the house up: Room One.

Me and the father-man have decided, finally, that we're gonna do the house up a bit to make it nice and a bit more livavle.

To do so, we went out today and brought a heat gun and scraper to strip the paint off the skirting and the door frames. It's effective, least harmful to the environment and to yourself, and it's fun.

I had an interview today (Plumbing apprenticeship), so we decided I'll start tomorrow, and he'll help after work and on the weekends.

We were going to replaster the walls, but doing a price-up, we decided the walls are good enough and we'll just filler up the real bad areas and repaint for now.

We decided to start in his and mother-ma'ams room first since she basically lives in there and if we fuck up, no biggie. Plus, it's the biggest room (apart from the living room) in the house and probably the less amount of effort to clear out. 

I think this'll be good for my portfolio as well as the house since we live in it, and if they want to sell it down the line, it'll be less work for them to redo it up for selling.
